January 20 ~ Quarter Mania Dole Community Center Ballroom; doors open at 6pm and “bidding” starts at 7pm. Paddles are $3 each or $5 for two. Cash or checks only please. Bid on quality vendor items with 1 to 4 quarters, depending on the retail value. Once all bids are placed, a randomly chosen number is called. If the person with that number placed a bid, he or she wins the item. Numbers will continue to be drawn until there is a winner. Bids are collected before each drawing. 80 – 100 items up for bid!. 19 February ~ Princess Ball (father/daughter dance) – Ballroom – 6-9pm
Dads, Uncles, Grandfathers - make your special girl feel like the princess she is! This formal dress event includes a sit down dinner and dancing. Tickets MUST be purchased in advance from the Community Center office in the Dole Center and are just $10 per person (for all ages). Deadline for purchase is Thursday February 17, 2011. Highlights for the Coming Week
November 6, 13 & 20: 5:30pm, Storm Cellar Sports Bar. Calling all card sharks! Join the 10-week tournament (which started October 16th) in the Storm Cellar. Enter any week and play for your seat in the final tournament. It’s FREE to play! Need at least 10 people to play! Blinds are 15 min intervals. Top 3 weekly winners receive cool prizes. Only Club Members are eligible to win prizes. Top 5 winners get a seat in the championship tournament. Order delicious poker food essentials off the bar menu. Wash it all down with draft beer at $1.75 for 12oz, $2.50 pints, $5 pitchers or purchase a bucket of domestic bottled beer at $12! Wait staff provided. Championship tournament is Saturday, January 15th. November 15: Turkey Pin Decorating – 5 – 8pm, Tornado Alley Bowling Center. Participate in the “Turkey Pin Decorating” contest. Each child will receive a bowling pin to decorate like a turkey – art supplies will be provided. Deadline for entries is Wed., 17 November by 10am. “Turkey Pins” will be on display at Tornado Alley 15-20 November. Be sure to stop by and vote for your favorite; votes are just $.25 each. Winners will be announced on Saturday, 20 November during Tornado Alley’s Annual Turkey Bowl. Call 759-6023 for more information.
